Mercy Kannemeyer is an award winning theatremaker, director, filmmaker, author, language activist and researcher from South Africa. She is also the vice chairperson of Pen Afrikaans. Mercy's fields of interest are language policies, adaptation, transculturalism and translanguaging, as well as the reclaiming and recalibration of her mother tongue, Afrikaans.
