Maung Day is a Myanmar-born poet, short story writer, translator, and artist. Day is the author of the poetry collection Death in Summer released from Chin Music Press in the US in 2023. He has extensively shown his artwork internationally and is now working on his second book of poems in English. Day has penned two short story collections in his mother tongue, from one of which the story Somewhere Out There was taken from. He lives and works in Yangon, Myanmar.
